The scaffolding on Montgomery & Sutter that seemed a permanent fixture has been cleared. The sidewalk is open to the sky. Pedestrians are breathing differently.

UPDATE: And others are erected. There's a new system which stretches along the Wells Fargo building on Sansome & Bush, ending just as you reach Citigroup Center.
